PATERSON, NJ – A Paterson man has been arrested and charged in connection to his role in the 2019 shooting of a teenager.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, Nyedair Parker, 28, faces up to 20 years in state prison on the most serious charge of attempted murder following his Thursday arrest.
As previously reported, on June 8, 2019, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 11th Avenue and East 28th Street on a report of an individual who had been shot. Upon arrival the police located the 15-year-old male victim who sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately brought to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS for treatment. Based on the investigation Parker was identified as a participant and charged.
