Police are on the scene of a shooting with two victims struck by bullets outside of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson.
According to police, several rounds of gunfire rang out near the intersection of Getty Avenue and Hospital Plaza at approximately 5:35 p.m
When police arrived at the scene, they found a victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
Police searching the area were informed that the second gunshot victim entered the emergency room and was being treated by doctors.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and remains at-large.
Officials said five people have been shot in less than a 24-hour time span in Paterson.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are on the scene leading the investigation.
